The definition of IP Protection Level for Screen

    The IP protection level is composed of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of dust resistance and protection against foreign objects. The second number indicates the degree of airtightness against moisture and water. The larger the number, the higher the protection level. The protection levels indicated by the two marked numbers are shown in Tables 1 and 2.


1. Dust-proof, Protection class


0 no protection

1 Prevent large solids from invading

2 Prevent small solids from entering

3 Prevent small solids from entering

4 Prevent solid objects larger than 1mm from entering

5 Prevent the accumulation of harmful dust

6 completely prevent dust from entering


2. Waterproof, Protection class


0 no protection

1 Water droplets drip into the shell without effect

2 When the shell is tilted to 15 degrees, water droplets drip into the shell without effect

3 Water or rain has no effect from the 60 degree corner to the shell

4 Liquid is splashed into the shell from any direction without harm.

5 Rinse without any harm

6 can be used in the cabin environment

7 Resistant to water in a short time (1m)

8 Long time immersion in water under a certain pressure
