Dual Band WIFI Frequency for Pos System

Wifi frequency has 2.4GHz/5GHz/60GHz, which signal is best?

2.4GHz is the most commonly used WiFi frequency band, including four sub-sets of 802.11 b/g/n; 5Ghz is another frequency band commonly referred to as dual-band WiFi, with 802.11 ac; 60Ghz is the next-generation WiFi standard evolution frequency band, is 802.11 Ad.

Now let we talk about transmission rate and transmission distance from two aspects.

    1. Transmission rate

The transfer rate is better because the standard is already given.

2.4GHz: The highest rate is 300Mbps, which is the most common wireless route under 802.11n, with two antennas. Some will claim 600 Mbps because of the increased frequency bandwidth, which has been upgraded from 20MHz to 40MHz.

5GHz: The highest rate of 867Mbps, like TP, Tengda home has a lot of dual-frequency routing, in general they will publicize 1167Mbps, which is to add 2.4GHz 300Mbps.

60GHz: The highest rate is 6Gbps, 60GHz does not have commercial terminal and route at present, it is estimated that there will be supportive equipment in the second half of this year.

   2. Transmission distance

2.4GHz: indoor 70 meters, outdoor 250 meters

5GHz: Indoor 35 meters

60GHz: 15m under indoor "beamforming" (estimate)

Now our Touch Screen Pos System, WIFI function not only support 2.4Ghz frequency, but also can support 5Ghz, wifi Antanna internal, good view.
